Thing 8/30: Passions

What are five things you're passionate about?

1. Community Service - I love love love it. It's part of the reason why I got so involved in school and it has played a major role in my decisions for the future. Some times I think adults think I'm lying about it.

2. Church - Sure I whine and complain sometimes (I know I shouldn't) but it makes my life beautiful. Not to mention all the wonderful people I've met because of church. I can't even begin to write about it.

3. Education - Yeah people think I lie about this, too. But sometimes, there's nothing better than to actually understand a concept and see it applied in life. I love it.

4. Food - More in the winter than the summer apparently. It helps with the fact that I guess I get all weird (health wise) when I don't eat like every three hours. However, seafood is not applicable to my food passion.

5. People - Everyone is so interesting in their own way. Not necessarily a good way, but I love how everyone is so different. People watching is definitely something fun to do. And eavesdropping. I'm pretty fantastic at both so fair warning.

Thing 7/30: Dream Job

Well I have a couple. If I ever got in one of those places where I didn't have to work, but I wanted to just for fun I would want to work at Disneyland (doesn't matter doing what. It's just so magical) or in Barnes and Noble (love love LOVE new books especially the smell). Now obviously I'm not going to college so that I can stock books at Barnes and Noble or welcome people into Disneyland for the day.

I'm going to school to major in Nursing so that I can work in my REAL dream job. I hope to obtain a Masters and work as a pediatric nurse practitioner so I can make kids feel better. :) I want to specialize in oncology as well. But, one step at a time. Slowly it's becoming more of  a reality and I'm so flippin excited.

Thing 6/30: Life is Hard

And the hardest part of my life is happening right now. It started with choosing what schools to apply to. And then figuring out scholarships and financial aid. And then getting accepted to every school I applied to and having to decide. And then getting scholarships and additional admissions that made it even harder to decide. And then having my heart set on a school out of my reach. And then crying when I had to go with the other choice. {And then there was that happy moment that had to do with figuring everything out and meeting the roomie and then graduation and life being blissful} And then having to work two jobs. And then having to figure out financial stuff, like loans. And then keeping my head up and enjoying the last few weeks at home.

...And then no more and then.

Thing 5/30: Happiness

List five things that make you happy right now.

1. My boys. They are my best friends and my brothers. They drive me absolutely insane, trash my car, eat everything insight, pick on me endlessly, but there is no way my life would be the same without them.

2. Thinking about college. I'msoflippingexcitedthatIcan'tevenseperatemywords! I feel so blessed to be ready to start this next phase of my life. (And with some pretty awesome people to boot)

3. Attempting to make ice cream multiple times. And failing multiple times. It just doesn't get old. You'd think that because I work at a frozen yogurt shop I'd be better at it. But it's hopeless.

4. Pinterest. 'Nuff said.

5. Blogging! Thanks to the roomie I've gotten into the habit of blogging. And I realize that not many people will actually read this. But it's nice to have something for me to read. I guess I could write in a journal... But this is way more fun.

Thing 4/30: Sixteen

List 10 things you would tell your 16-year-old self if you could.

Well I'm only 18. I don't know how much I have to say. Haha

1. Stay in AP Bio. But try not to procrastinate so much. Those sleepless nights suck.
2. Boys are dumb.
3. The people you meet through church will become some of your absolute greatest friends.
4. Graduation is a real thing! And with time it comes. But enjoy it while you can.
5. Don't stress about so much. Rather enjoy the things you have.
6. There are so many things to be grateful for it's hard to be down about anything.
7. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
8. Don't waste your time with other colleges; deep down BYU was always it.
9. Do what your told. It's easier that way.
10. If you think life is great now, just wait.

Thing 3/30: My Parental Unit

Describe your relationship with your parents.

My parents? I have four. Mom, stepdad, Dad, stepmom. One big happy family. I'm a pretty lucky gal when it comes to having amazing people in my life. These four fall in that category. They would do anything for me. And I'm glad because doing things on your own sucks.

Thing 2/30: Three Fears

Describe three legitimate fears and how they became fears.
1. I fear the future because I have no control over it. Point blank.
2. I fear (future) relationships because I never see successful ones. Marriage is DEFINITELY not in my near future. Long, long, long, LONG time away.
3. I fear for humanity. Read the Lake County Record Bee and you will, too.

Thing 1/30: List 20 random facts about yourself.

1. I love Disney and secretly I'm a princess. Okay not really, but I wish.

2. My best friends are a group of boys (MY boys) and I love them to pieces. They call me Momma Goose.

3. After much deliberation, I decided to attend BYU for at least the next four years. Cheers!

4. I absolutely hate (I repeat HATE) cold weather. Here goes cold Provo. lol

5. My ultimate goal in life is to change the world. At the least one person's world.

6. GRAMMAR ERRORS DRIVE ME NUTSO. Seriously, people, go back to elementary school.

7. Favorite smell in the world? A bookstore. Preferably Barnes and Noble. But I'm not too picky.

8. People in high school who are consumed with being in love annoy me. A lot. No offense. I just think there are a lot of other things you can focus your time on and the majority of these relationships won't last.

9. I know that I overextend myself, but I would be way bored without a million things to do at once.

10. I haven't even had one semester at BYU and I already want to study abroad. (Clinic work in Africa, anyone?)

11. I love running water, flushing toilets, and two-ply toilet paper. Two treks and six years of girls camp will do that to a person.

12. I want to get married in the Las Vegas temple. Mainly so I can tell people I got married in Vegas. But hey, all the temples are beautiful, so why not choose one?

13. I cheered for a total of seven years. And I loved it. Not because of the uniforms (they're not that comfy), but because I loved being able to be apart of something that HAS to be perfect. Yes, I'm a minor perfectionist.

14. I'm more willing to clean out other people's rooms than my own. Nine times out of ten, my room is an absolute disaster.

15. I fell in love with musical theater when I saw Wicked in 2009. I saw it again in 2010 (still amazing, btw) and auditioned for Footloose in 2011. Little did I know, I would get a major role. It was one of the best decisions I made senior year (and that includes not taking AP Calc).

16. I'm Mormon. Just in case you didn't catch that from my other posts. PS. Stalk away!

17. Twilight, Glee, and Harry Potter fan before it was cool. HIPSTER

18. I CAN'T STAND people who are Debbie Downers/Eeyores. Can't do it. So I avoid them.

19. I love mint chip ice cream with caramel, double-stuf oreos, rolo mcflurries, grilled cheese sammies, and quesadillas. Hopefully I won't gain like 800 pounds next year...

20. Last but not least, I don't know how to study. I've tried and I feel stupid. Someone, help?
