Temple Marriage Gives Me Hope For A Brighter Future

Although we will all experience times of trial and difficulty, there are laws which, if obeyed, will enable us to also experience great happiness. Elder Hales teaches: When we live those laws, we are practicing the same laws that are practiced in heaven. We are practicing how to live with the Father and the Son and with our families in the eternities to come. That to me is the message to the world of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Temple marriage describes the place you go to have a marriage performed. Celestial marriage is what you create by being true to the sacred covenants you make during the temple marriage ceremony.”

So I haven't posted anything in a while. And right now it's probably very stupid of me to be blogging. But sometimes there's no other medium but to write out your anger.

Recently, people who haven't been involved in a project in the past now want to get involved. Oh, but thats not the best part! I just love it oh so very much when they try to tell ME I'm wrong. I'm sorry that I've only been doing this for years longer than you. It seems like everytime I talk no one is listening. And of course I have no idea what I'm doing. EVER.

AND THEN! The way some people think that they don't have to respect anyone is just amazing. It's experiences like this that make me grateful for the way I was raised and that I know how to act around people. It's almost like they have no reason to acknowledge other people. With attitudes like that, (excuse me) we're screwed. If my generation is the future, shouldn't our elders be teaching us how to interact and work together? Maybe I'm just to set on the idea of people actually joining together with a common idea, and it's really all a fantasy in my head. Sometimes, life is so overwhelmingly ridiculous, I don't know what I really think.

Ah the joys of living...

Yeah. I like this. :)

Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The boys don't want to reach for the good ones cause they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality they just have to wait for the right boy to come along who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Mormon girls are kinda amazing <3

Guess what?? Brittani has an idea. Watch out.

I don't know if it had to do with being surround by nerds and being inspired or what, but I have an idea. And everyone should try it.
Every day for the next 2 weeks, find someone who you think needs some attention and tell them (verbally or in writing) something admirable about them, preferably a quality, but I guess it could be an appearance too. But do it! Not only will it boost their self-esteem, but it'll help your confidence too. If you can do the 30-Day photo challenge, or update your status everyday, this will be easy! and a little fun too :)

There's Just So Much :)

So, I have this thing for making lists. I make lists all the time. If I have to organize information, it goes into a list. But, anyways, back to the point. I wanted to make a list of all things I'm thankful for right now because it's a snow day and I'm pretty grateful for that. :) So, here goes.

Top 10 Things That Were Awesome About Today
1. TODAY BEING A SNOW DAY!!
2. The sunshine that melted the snow.
3. 4-wheel drive that got me into town to spend time with my lovely Jennea Louise :)
4. The people who lovingly accepted the fact that I wanted to rub in my snow day: Marissa, Michael, Wes, Kam, and Jack
5. The fire at Jennea's house that kept us warm and toasty
6. GLEE. Especially Sue Sylvester
7. Mayer cancelling formal. I really was glad to not have to decorate today, and I didn't want to dress up in the cold. haha
8. American Idol. And the kid with the red hair that was the 24th person to go through. haha
9. Getting a discount for going to Perko's with Martha.
10. The complete and total relaxation from today being off.

Yeah, today was amaz-za-zing :)

Just Keep Swimming

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful. ~Buddha

In all that we do, in everyday that passes by, in every horrible situation, there is ALWAYS something better. Even Anne Frank, in a horrible situation, saw the positive side.

I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains.  ~Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl
The beauty and purpose of life never ceases to amaze me. For example, I had the privilege of spending the day in San Francisco yesterday. Much to my luck, it was a. warm b. sunny and c. blue skies. i could not have asked for a more perfect day. I almost think that I should start expecting the sunlight instead of the gray clouds: in San Francisco, but more importantly in life. Positivity is key in all that we do.

Our Heavenly Father will never challenge us with a trial we are unable to handle. He knows our strengths, our weaknesses, and our talents. And when in doubt we are always able to turn to him in times of need. We are never alone.

I don't know that any of this is really cohesive, but these are my thoughts, unbridled for all to see. :)
