The past few days have been interesting. I guess weeks is more accurate. Life has been busy, just finished finals in school, steam-rolling through the last few games for cheer, homework, social events, and trying to keep my sanity. Not to mention, the sunshine has been so wonderful, but the events seem to have been extremely dismal. Not necessarily mine, but those around me which effects me all the same.
In seminary, we were cutting up old New Era magazines to summarize what we've learned so far. Right when we were cleaning up, my friend handed me this Mormonad:
A different friend was/is having some challenges and was really struggling to find herself again. I found the link to Tell Her She's Beautiful, an event on Facebook, and I fell in love with it. I picked a few random girls and wrote on their walls "You're beautiful and I love you" Said friend was one of the random ones. And lo and behold, it happened to be exactly what she needed to hear right then. The next day, I remembered the poster I still had in my backpack, and gave it to her. She smiled when she saw it, and I know she finally realized Heavenly Father knows what he's doing in her life right now and she just needs to ride it out.
I'm so grateful I can take the time to acknowlege the gifts my Heavenly Father gives me. I know he loves me and it is manifested in everything in my life. I may have helped my friend that day, but it helped me too. He has a plan for me and I just have to trust in Him. Through my trials and successes, while others may come and go, He will always be there.
He loves me, He loves me, He loves me :)
Your parents raised you right! You have such an amazing spirit to share with others! We love you.
